Position assessment: In this position I have worked in collaboration with Gabriella Melgarejo to create the Back to School flyer, Fanny Pack Friday flyer, and the Spirit days flyers. These included important dates and information to help keep the student body interested and informed about campus events. The Welcome Back to School flyer invited kids back from summer, as well as providing important upcoming events that would occur on campus. Fanny Pack Friday flyers encourage kids to dress out and show school spirit. And lastly the Spirit days flyer was essential to keep everyone on campus informed as to the dress up days during Club Rush. I also assisted Morty with taking pictures of clubs during Club Rush, making sure all clubs got publicity.
Standing Committee: Publicity has been an essential part of this month. Since we are back in person with two grades that don't really know about all of the events that go on at Ripon High, it has been very important to keep pushing out information and dates. This helps to increase participation, inclusion, and school spirit on campus.
Special Committee: Not applicable yet.
Mentorship Evaluation: This month, whilst adjusting to a new daily schedule, Naomi has been extremely helpful. Any time I have a question or concern I can go to her for help. Specifically about the website, I tend to get very frustrated but she helps alleviate some of that frustration by answering any questions.
Concerns: One concern I have is that even though we post on social media and put flyers up around the school, we still don’t go into much detail. This could mean that many students, especially underclassmen, do not know why we do what we do. From Club Rush to the Back to School Dance I think we need to reiterate why participation is essential.
Positive comment: I am new to the program, however I love watching all of the events unfold, as well as participating in the planning and execution of them. The time, teamwork, and dedication that goes into everything in this program is something that I never took into account before. My positive comment goes to Naomi, I can only imagine the load she is juggling right now but she still remains incredibly kind and helpful! She is helping all grade levels and assisting me anytime I ask, she has great time management skills and organization, I appreciate her so much.
One change that you would like to see: Like previously stated, I think we need to reiterate our ‘why’ more. I think we could get more participation if the student body was more educated about our ‘why’. Another thing is just to keep advertising any and all events with 100% positive attitude and effort, because if we are hype then the student body will (hopefully) follow our lead.
My Impact: I believe, this month, that our flyers were clear and informative, providing a sense of inclusion for the entire student body. As well as offering to help in any way I could, whether that be folding class shirts before Club Rush to helping take down posters after.

Position assessment: This month Gabby and I worked to publicize the events and dress up days surrounding homecoming. This included the lip sync, the parade, and making separate flyers for each day during the week of HOCO, due to them each having 6-8 options for participation. We created said flyers and posted them up around school, and gave them to teachers to put up in their classrooms to hopefully get more people to be informed and increase participation, and I think it worked. Individually, I assisted in decoration of the float, as well as making posters for the lip sync, and general help with anything the class officers needed. I also helped with decorating campus. In the future we have Dude Be Nice coming up, and I am looking forward to collaborating with Gabby more to publicize it!
Standing Committee: I believe that publicity helps it exponentially increase participation this past month and a half. We gave students, who others would not have been informed, a source of information in pretty much every class.
Special Committee: HOCO! So for homecoming I assisted with the lip sync, the float/parade, as well as helping to decorate the campus.
Mentorship Evaluation: I honestly couldn't be happier with my mentor! For our lunch together we ate in her car. I really love how observant Naomi is, she asked about my job and specific classes. I don't think some people realize how much those small gestures can mean to others. While sitting in her car, a song came on that I happened to love and from there it spiraled and I learned how much we both love Taylor Swift!
Concerns: I think that 6 to 8 options per day, for dress up days during homecoming was too much. I think there is a certain balance between inclusivity and making more work for us as a class. I know it was slightly challenging for our spirit officers to go into classrooms and do counts. I also believe it was a bit confusing for the student body because most options were fairly broad and didn't relate to the main idea of that day.
Positive comment: This month was nerve wracking to say the least, I really relied on Gracie and April's humor and direction to help the junior class float, lip sync, etc and make it through. I was a bit timid, however both April and Gracie were so kind and both have an amazing sense of humor. They also delegated takes with efficiency.
One change that you would like to see: Like previously stated, we need to condense our dress up days. Now I'm not saying that we should go because of simple class t-shirts and a theme, I do enjoy having a few more options but I think we should definitely limit it a bit.
My Impact:This month the goal, for both me and Gabby, was to create our flyers to help keep the student body updated. I think I have done a good job of this, as well as assisting wherever else I am needed. This month I believe that I have done a better job reminding others of our ‘why,’ though it is still something I would like to work on more in the future.

Position assessment: This month I worked to help out my class more than anything, for example with planning for winterfest, and writing names on leaves. I also helped the VPs after school count up the total amount of money raised. Together Gabby and I helped publicize the blanket drive for the VPs. We also helped to publicize ‘Dude, Be Nice’ by creating flyers. I also worked in a group with Gabby D, Gracie, and Claire to write the CASL paper. In the future we are looking forward to winterfest, including shopping carts, pillars, posters, and windows. I plan on helping publicize this (if asked).
Standing Committee: I believe that publicity helps it exponentially increase participation this past month and a half. We gave students, who others would not have been informed, a source of information in pretty much every class.
Special Committee: Not applicable for this past month.
Mentorship Evaluation: This month Naomi helped me out several times with my website and other assignments. I really appreciate her kindness and how she always says hello to me, it really makes a difference.
Concerns: We are not publicizing events early enough. We need to let people know further ahead of time and keep posters up around the school. I feel like we are not giving enough ‘warning’ (for lack of a better term) to those who want to dress up or participate in activities, like chalk in the morning.
Positive comment: This month's positive comment is about Emma. I had never really talked to her before leadership, however you would never know that. She always has a big smile and a humorous comment to share. Along with always laughing at my stupid jokes, she talks to me like she has known me forever. On days when I'm not feeling the best, her positive attitude really helps.
One change that you would like to see: I think we honestly need more of a ‘heads up’ regarding publicizing events. I am balancing school, basketball, and a job, therefore I don't have that much time to mess around with, so the sooner I know the better. It gives me more time to plan and execute.
My Impact:This month I have tried to reach out to others in the program I don't usually talk to. I talked with Gia and Jenavive and a few others. It was super refreshing and I would love to continue to get to know others in the future.

Position assessment: This past month or so, Gabby and I have created several flyers, including two for college spirit days, a welcome back flyer, and a few ‘wear red on friday’ spirit flyers. Individually, I assisted class officers with the shopping cart during winterfest and participated in helping package meals with JROTC for hungry kids. I also wrote and gave my speech on why college board is a scam. Honestly this past month my focus has been on balancing basketball, school, and work. I am looking forward to all things Almond Blossom, leadership applications, (just got the email for link crew) and watching the rest of the elder projects. Along with mock interviews, encore training day, and eighth grade day with link crew. And… we might go to the playoffs for basketball.
Standing Committee: I believe that publicity helps it exponentially increase participation this past month and a half. We gave students, who others would not have been informed, a source of information in pretty much every class.
Special Committee: Not applicable.
Mentorship Evaluation: Other than the occasional text for help, we haven't talked much. However everytime I see her, she always says hi, or has a big smile for me which is a very kind (and much appreciated) gesture.
Concerns: My only concern is that we have a lot coming up and very little time to do it. Like previously mentioned we have many, many things coming up as a program, and to combine that with what I already balance in life is a bit intimidating.
Positive comment: This month my positive comment goes to Gabby D. She has been so helpful and positive as a friend outside of the program. Not to mention how beautifully and effortlessly she is managing the scrapbook. Delegating everyone's pages and assisting however they need.
One change that you would like to see: I would like to see a positive activity, or a book study sometime soon. I feel like we have been super work and speech motivated lately and I think most of us could use a break. I like book studies because they get us thinking in a positive way.
My Impact: This month, though I did not have many assignments specifically, I tried my best to be a positive light both in and out of the program. Whether that be through kind words, or simply a smile in passing, I hope to have had a positive impact on everyone.

Position assessment: This past month or so, Gabby and I have created several flyers, including several more flyers for college spirit days, two for gallery of the arts and one for tribe awards. Individually, I assisted with the set up and take down of gallery, prepping for the upcoming conference (preparing bags, cleaning out old bags, etc.), as well as assisting in hanging up posters for prom. We also have started working on class t-shirts, sweatshirts, and crewnecks for next year. I have been keeping up with my portfolio pages, and creating/keeping my website up to date for my professional. I completed my scrapbook page, and all book studies that were assigned. Coming up I need to turn in paperwork and payment for core camp next year, other than that just focus on work, family, and school.
Standing Committee: I believe that publicity has helped exponentially increase participation this past month and a half. We gave students, who others would not have been informed, a source of information in pretty much every class.
Special Committee: Tribe award, and college reveal assisting in publicizing and set up/take down.
Mentorship Evaluation: Naomi has helped me organize and complete my website. Other than that we haven't talked much, however we did help pack bags for the modesto conference together.
Concerns: My only concern is that we have a lot coming up and very little time to do it. Like previously mentioned we have many, many things coming up as a program, and to combine that with what I already balance in life is a bit intimidating.
Positive comment: This month my positive comment goes to Avery. She is effortlessly funny, and totally understands my humor. It was so sad to listen to her farewells, specifically the one to me. I get so in my own head sometimes I forget people actually enjoy my company, so her farewell was refreshing and meant a lot.
One change that you would like to see: One full workday per week. We have so much going on that I think it would be so helpful to have just that little bit of extra time.
My Impact: I tried my best to be a positive light both in and out of the program. Whether that be through kind words, or simply a smile in passing, I hope to have had a positive impact on everyone. Along with offering my free time to help anyone I could in the class.

Position assessment: In these last months we have been continuing to publicize events, during the challenge and end of school dance, also tribe awards and college reveal. I helped work the dance, snow cones and popcorn. Participated in writing cards for military and firefighters for Love Ripon. Finished my portfolio, completed mock interviews. The guy who interviewed me was super knowledgeable and helpful. Completed the challenge, I tried my best to delegate publicity, I don't believe I was as successful as I could have been but it is a good experience to learn from. I attended Prom, it was so fun and I am super thankful for the experience. As well as attending the Modesto leadership conference. And finally I attended the banquet. Also Monday May 9th I attended the Board meeting and turned in the write-up and notes by Friday. And lastly I attended study buddy night this past Monday.
Standing Committee: Publicity - Helps encourage student participation and spirit. I think this year has revived and reclaimed events post-COVID and I cant wait to see what next year has in store for us.
Special Committee: Tribe award, and college reveal assisting in publicizing
Mentorship Evaluation: Naomi has helped me organize and complete my website. She is so dedicated and motivated and has so much in store for her future. I appreciate everything she has helped me with this year.
Concerns: Honestly this isn't really about the program, however I am concerned about finals because I have mostly projects. It is just so much information to gather and not enough time to do it. I am sure that in the end I will figure it all out however for now it sucks.
Positive comment: The final month's positive comment goes to Makenzie. Both inside and outside of the program she has been there for me always. We have been hanging out a lot more and she is always willing to listen. I hope she knows how much I appreciate her, and that I will always be there for her too.
One change that you would like to see: One full workday per week. We have so much going on that I think it would be so helpful to have just that little bit of extra time. This is more for next year, because this year is essentially over.
My Impact: Through these last few months I hope to have been there for everyone who needed me. I hope to have made a positive impact on my leadership peers and I hope they know that I am always here if they need anything.
